About The Position

Caring Senior Service is hiring compassionate and dependable Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, and PCAs to support residents at an independent living community in South Austin. This is a great opportunity for experienced caregivers who enjoy working with seniors in a community setting while helping residents remain safe, comfortable, and independent. We currently have opportunities available for 1st shift, 2nd shift, and weekend caregivers. This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy staying active, interacting with multiple residents, and working as part of a supportive senior care team.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to remain active and walk throughout the community during your shift
• Comfortable assisting residents with restroom needs and mobility

Nice To Haves

• Caregiving experience strongly preferred
• CNA, HHA, PCA, or similar senior care experience is a plus
• Experience working with seniors is preferred
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
• Experience in independent living, assisted living, senior living, home care, memory care, personal care, rehabilitation, nursing homes, or private-duty caregiving is valuable for this position.

Responsibilities

• Providing medication reminders
• Completing resident wellness and safety checks
• Assisting residents with restroom needs
• Providing standby assistance with mobility
• Escorting residents to meals in the dining area
• Escorting residents to activities and community events
• Providing companionship and social interaction
• Assisting residents safely throughout the facility
• Observing residents for changes in condition or behavior
• Communicating concerns to the appropriate team members
• Helping residents maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life
