About The Position

Caring Senior Service is hiring compassionate and dependable Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, and PCAs to support residents at an independent living community in South Austin. This is a great opportunity for experienced caregivers who enjoy working with seniors in a community setting while helping residents remain safe, comfortable, and independent. We currently have opportunities available for 1st shift, 2nd shift, and weekend caregivers. Caregivers provide supportive, non-medical assistance to residents throughout the community. This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy staying active, interacting with multiple residents, and working as part of a supportive senior care team.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to remain active and walk throughout the community during your shift
• Comfortable assisting residents with restroom needs and mobility

Nice To Haves

• CNA, HHA, PCA, or similar senior care experience is a plus
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
• Experience in independent living, assisted living, senior living, home care, memory care, personal care, rehabilitation, nursing homes, or private-duty caregiving is valuable for this position.

Responsibilities

• Providing medication reminders
• Completing resident wellness and safety checks
• Assisting residents with restroom needs
• Providing standby assistance with mobility
• Escorting residents to meals in the dining area
• Escorting residents to activities and community events
• Providing companionship and social interaction
• Assisting residents safely throughout the facility
• Observing residents for changes in condition or behavior
• Communicating concerns to the appropriate team members
• Helping residents maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life
