About The Position

SeaStar Senior Services is a professional in-home care and care management company serving seniors and vulnerable adults in Portland, Oregon, and surrounding towns. The company is seeking certified nursing assistants and caregivers to provide quality, compassionate care to clients in their own homes and support them with daily activities and social interaction. Duties vary based on the needs of each assigned client.

The company provides a comprehensive onboarding process that includes background checks, drug screening, a motor vehicle record check, paid training and orientation, and a nurse evaluation before client assignment. The position is in person and offers full-time or part-time work, with expected hours of 12–36 per week.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must have a smartphone for clocking in and out and documentation.
• Must have a driver's license, a car, and a clean driving record.
• Must have good observational and writing skills.
• Must be CPR certified or able to obtain CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• CNA or HCA qualification preferred.
• Experience working with seniors and adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide home care to clients living in their own homes.
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
• Run errands for clients.
• Provide social interaction, including puzzles, games, and reading.
• Provide personal care depending on assigned client needs.
• Administer medication depending on assigned client needs.
• Complete clock-in and clock-out and documentation using a smartphone.
