About The Position

ACOL Home Care is hiring caregivers to serve Cobb County and surrounding areas. Caregivers must be willing to drive to client locations within the service area. The organization offers nurse-led mentorship and caregiver-first scheduling, along with opportunities for recognition and career growth. The role provides hands-on personal care and daily living support to clients in their homes. Caregivers also monitor and report health changes, provide medication reminders, support mobility, maintain safety, and document care using an app. Candidates need reliable transportation and the ability to lift or transfer clients.

Requirements

Driver’s license and Social Security card.
Active state-specific CNA license for CNA candidates; PCA test results for PCA candidates.
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
Recent negative TB test result, or willingness to obtain one.
Reliable transportation and ability to lift or transfer clients.
Basic computer and app skills for charting and communication.
Empathy, professionalism, and commitment to protecting client dignity and privacy.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transfers.
Help clients with range-of-motion exercises, walking, and physician-directed therapy routines.
Check vital signs, track food and fluid intake, and promptly report changes.
Remind clients to take medications as ordered and document compliance.
Prepare nutritious meals, perform light housekeeping, run errands, and provide companionship.
Follow infection-control and fall-prevention protocols.
Maintain accurate EMR notes using the agency’s app.
