Caregiver / CNA / HHA / PCA – Flexible Shifts | Urgently Hiring
About The Position
Caring Senior Service is urgently hiring experienced Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide one-on-one, non-medical home care for seniors throughout Amarillo and nearby communities. We are seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers with at least one year of caregiving experience. Flexible schedules are available, including daytime, evening, overnight, weekend, and PRN caregiver shifts. As an in-home caregiver, you will help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes while building meaningful relationships with the clients and families you serve. Our local Amarillo office team provides clear communication, reliable scheduling, ongoing training, and responsive support. Requirements
- At least one year of caregiving experience is required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance may be required
- Must be able to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- CNA, HHA, or PCA certification is preferred but not required
- Personal care and activities of daily living experience is preferred
- Experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, memory care, dementia care, hospice care, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, or private-duty caregiving is valuable for this position.
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Helping clients with walking, mobility, positioning, and transfers
- Providing toileting and incontinence care
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating
- Providing medication reminders
- Performing light housekeeping and laundry
- Assisting with errands, transportation, and appointments
- Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition
- Maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment
- Protecting each client’s privacy, dignity, and independence
- Communicating professionally with clients, families, and office staff
- Documenting completed care and reporting concerns promptly
