About The Position

Senior Helpers Baltimore and Central Maryland is seeking compassionate, dependable Caregivers, CNAs, and GNAs for day shifts, including short and long assignments. They offer paid training and orientation, and emphasize making a lasting difference in someone's life. This role is ideal for those available to work Saturdays and Sundays, with opportunities across Baltimore County, Howard County, and Baltimore City. The agency is Maryland's first and only CHAP Age-Friendly Care at Home Certified Home Care Agency, focusing on helping older adults remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.

Requirements

• Availability to work during the day
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to pass all required background screenings
• Current TB screening or willingness to obtain one
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers, and mobility assistance

Nice To Haves

• Previous caregiving, CNA, GNA, or home care experience preferred
• CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain it

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Helping with walking, transfers, and mobility
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry
• Providing medication reminders
• Offering companionship and meaningful conversation
• Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities
• Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition
• Completing simple visit documentation
