Caregiver CNA CMA PRN
About The Position
Iris Memory Care of NW OKC is building its PRN pool and is looking for Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) and Certified Medication Aides (CMA) who desire flexible work in a warm, close-knit environment. This is a freestanding memory care assisted living community with 54 residents, focused on providing compassionate care to residents with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. The role involves providing hands-on care, assisting with daily living activities, supporting social-recreational programming, maintaining a clean environment, monitoring resident health, and offering emotional support, all while upholding resident dignity and individuality.
Requirements
- Active listing on the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry (required)
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliable work history
- Flexibility to pick up shifts across all schedules as needed
- Ability to meet continuing education and certification requirements for your position
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year of experience working with older adults preferred
- Experience in memory care or with dementia residents strongly preferred
- Genuine warmth, patience, and compassion for those living with memory loss
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care, dining, and mobility
- Support residents with life enrichment activities and social-recreational programming
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, comfortable, home-like environment
- Monitor and document vital signs and monthly weights
- Offer emotional and physical comfort and support to residents and families
- Uphold each resident’s dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality at all times
- Assist with individual and group activities that enrich residents’ daily lives
