This role serves as a Facilitator for Career and Transition Support within the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) division. The primary focus is to assist students with disabilities, particularly those served under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), in navigating career, technical, and agricultural education clusters. The position involves coordinating services to help learners achieve their transition goals, communicating with parents, collaborating with various stakeholders, and supporting teachers in implementing best practices for secondary transition and instruction for students with low incidence disabilities. The facilitator will also provide support with transition assessment materials and strategies, assist with career and technical testing, and identify research-based practices for secondary transition. Additionally, the role involves supporting work sites, coordinating with agencies like Vocational Rehabilitation, and acting as a liaison for transition-related programs. The facilitator will also organize orientations, assist with applications for post-secondary programs, and conduct seminars and presentations on transition topics.
