About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a motivated and dependable student to serve as their Career Ambassador Student Supervisor. In this leadership role, the individual will assist in the oversight of the daily operations of the Career Ambassador team, provide coaching and support to fellow student employees, and help ensure exceptional service for students, alumni, employers, faculty, and campus visitors. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, solving problems, and helping others grow professionally.

Requirements

  • Current full-time enrollment in an undergraduate campus program.
  • Federal Work Study eligibility as part of your financial aid package.
  • At least one semester of successful experience as a Career Ambassador.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and leadership potential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the student leader for the Career Ambassador team, fostering a welcoming, professional, and collaborative work environment.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new Career Ambassadors on office procedures, customer service expectations, and campus resources.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and feedback to Career Ambassadors while promoting accountability and professional growth.
  • Serve as a resource for Career Ambassadors by answering questions and helping resolve routine issues before escalating them to professional staff.
  • Assist Career Center student staff manager with planning and coordinating Career Ambassador professional development trainings.
  • Monitor front desk procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and the student experience.
  • Assist with administrative projects, outreach initiatives, and event preparation as assigned.
  • Model professionalism, initiative, and outstanding customer service in all interactions with students, alumni, employers, faculty, and staff.
  • Communicate regularly with Career Center student staff manager regarding team performance, concerns, and successes.
