Care Team Leader- Inpatient Pediatric General Medical/Surgical (NEW unit)
About The Position
Join our NEWEST unit at the American Family Children’s Hospital. This 9 bed unit will care for children from infancy through adolescence. Care for patients who have a wide variety of complex medical and surgical problems, including: General Surgery, Trauma Surgery, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Orthopedics, other surgical specialties and medical observation (OBS). Motivate and lead nursing staff while working in collaboration with the interprofessional team. Analyze and resolve problems that fall outside the domain of the nurse clinician and collaborate with other departments and care providers. Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- 2 years experience in an inpatient unit Required
- 2 years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient unit Required
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
- Current CPR/BLS certification Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- 3 years experience in an acute care inpatient unit Preferred
- Relevant RN experience with department-specific patient population Preferred
- National certification in relevant specialty Preferred
