About The Position

Care Partners support elders in a senior living community by providing personal care, health observation and documentation, emotional support, meal assistance, social engagement, communication, and light housekeeping. They assist elders with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, including use of walkers and wheelchairs. They observe and report changes in elders’ health or behavior to the Wellness Team, offer companionship, help with meals, and support life-enriching activities. Care Partners communicate with elders, families, coworkers, and guests and help maintain general cleanliness.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Provide licensing documentation if required by the state.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist elders with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, including use of walkers and wheelchairs.
• Observe, document, and report changes in elders’ health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support, conversation, active listening, and companionship.
• Assist elders with meals and feed those who require additional support.
• Support social and recreational activities that promote elders’ well-being.
• Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping, including tidying and maintaining general cleanliness.
