About The Position

Care Partners support elders in a senior living community by providing personal care, health monitoring, emotional support, meal assistance, and companionship. The role also involves helping elders participate in social and recreational activities, communicating with residents, families, team members, and guests, and maintaining general cleanliness through light housekeeping. Care Partners work within a team and support residents’ well-being and daily needs.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Provide licensing documentation if required by the state.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist elders with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, potentially using walkers and wheelchairs.
• Observe, document, and report changes in elders’ health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support and companionship, including conversation and active listening.
• Assist elders with meals and provide feeding support when needed.
• Support elders in social and recreational activities that promote well-being.
• Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping, such as tidying and maintaining general cleanliness.
