About The Position

TerraBella Senior Living is hiring a Care Giver for its community in Southern Pines. The role provides hands-on care and physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe, comfortable, home-like environment. Care Givers help residents maintain independence, dignity, and physical safety, assist with daily living needs, and engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities. The role requires effective communication, customer service, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A high school diploma or GED and age 18 or older are required; Certified Nurse’s Aid certification and prior experience working with seniors are preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, management, and co-workers.
Superior customer service skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of residents’ rooms and work areas.
Help residents maintain independence while promoting each resident’s dignity and physical safety.
Participate in and assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and eating, as instructed.
Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
