About The Position

Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy is seeking a Care Coordinator to work at their Oskaloosa physical therapy clinic. This is a full-time, hourly position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. The role will complement and work alongside another Care Coordinator to provide prompt and courteous service to clients and the team. This position requires professionalism, excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As the first point of contact for clients, you'll build relationships, coordinate care, support providers, and help ensure every client receives an outstanding experience from their first phone call through completion of care.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in an administrative, healthcare, or professional customer service role.
  • Experience in a medical office or other fast-paced office environment.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance, and healthcare scheduling.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through professional, compassionate service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in person, by phone, and electronic communications.
  • Coordinate scheduling while balancing client needs and provider availability.
  • Explain therapy services, insurance benefits, and financial policies.
  • Collect payments and maintain accurate client accounts.
  • Complete accurate documentation and maintain client records within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Coordinate communication between clients, providers, referring physicians, employers, and insurance representatives.
  • Support clinic operations by following established processes while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency in managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.
