About The Position

The Care Associate provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping them maintain quality of life, independence, and dignity. The position includes assisting with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other needs; following residents’ schedules; providing emotional and social support; documenting assistance; and communicating resident issues or concerns to a supervisor. The role also requires respecting residents’ confidentiality and maintaining a positive, supportive relationship with residents and coworkers.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in senior care.
English proficiency sufficient to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and coworkers, and respond to and communicate during emergencies.
Basic computer skills.
Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful manner.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle variables in high-stress situations.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.
A CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.
Employees must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs; government requirements or exclusions may apply.

Responsibilities

Assist residents as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other activities of daily living.
Follow the schedule of residents’ needs established by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document assistance in the daily log.
Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
Respect residents’ confidentiality.
