About The Position

The Care Associate provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping them maintain a quality life, dignity, and independence. The role includes following each resident’s needs schedule, offering emotional and social support, documenting assistance, and communicating resident issues or concerns to a supervisor. The position is part-time, with a stated 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. schedule, at Addington Place of Stuart.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in senior care.
Sufficient English proficiency to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to emergencies.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle variables in high-stress situations.
Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.
Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs; government requirements or exclusions may apply.

Nice To Haves

A CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.

Responsibilities

Assist residents as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Follow the schedule of resident needs established by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document assistance in a daily log.
Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
Respect residents’ confidentiality.
