About The Position

The Care Assistant provides care and support to residents of Assisted/Independent Living at Crown Pointe Estates. The role includes assistance with personal care, meals, laundry, housekeeping, activities, and other resident needs, as well as assisting the medication aide when needed. The position works part time on the day shift from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., every third weekend, and every other holiday.

Requirements

• Must obtain CPR certification within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with the elderly population.
• Certified Nurse Aide certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete responsibilities delegated by the RN supervisor to care for each resident.
• Provide feedback to the RN/LPN supervisor about resident care and appropriately report resident concerns.
• Help ensure the safety of all residents.
• Set up and serve meals, ensuring residents receiving meal service are provided meals in their rooms or in the dining room.
• Clean community areas, including elevators, restrooms, offices, and hallways.
• Assist the activities coordinator with activities as needed.
• Assist residents with daily living needs, including transfers, general housekeeping, and laundry.
• Complete resident charting and documentation, and be available to take vital signs.
• Assist the medication aide as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
