Care Assistant- Weekends
About The Position
Home Instead is seeking kind, reliable Care Assistants to support older adults across Folkestone and Hythe, Kent. The role provides companionship and personal support, helping clients live safely, comfortably and with dignity. Visits are at least one hour long, allowing time to provide unhurried, personal care. Care Assistants support clients with personal care and mobility, meal preparation, keeping their homes tidy and safe, companionship, and some health-related tasks such as catheter care, stoma care and nail care. Training is provided, and no previous care experience is required. Morning shifts run from 07:00 to 14:00 and evening shifts from 16:00 to 21:00. All Care Professionals work weekends.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
- Clear English and good communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support older adults with personal care and mobility.
- Prepare meals and drinks for clients.
- Help keep clients’ homes tidy and safe.
- Provide companionship, including sharing conversation and activities.
- Support clients with health-related tasks such as catheter care, stoma care and nail care, with training provided.
