About The Position

Helping Hands is seeking Care Assistants to work evenings and weekends in and around Sheffield. Care Assistants support customers to live well, remain independent, and feel safe in their own homes. Previous care experience is not required; training and support are provided. The role is part of a supportive team and offers flexible shift patterns.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Kind, adaptable, people-first mindset.
• Willingness to learn; previous care experience is not required.
• Reliability, compassion, and confidence supporting others with dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to customers in their homes.
• Support customers with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist customers with mobility and help them stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks, including cleaning, cooking, and meal preparation.
• Run errands such as food shopping and collecting prescriptions.
• Provide calm and considerate support that helps customers feel cared for.
