About The Position

Cardiovascular Technologist – Electrophysiology Tech is needed for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role involves providing monitoring and assistance during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implant procedures. The assignment is for 17 weeks, with a start date of September 28, 2026. The position offers 10-hour shifts, with options for 4x10 or 3x12, primarily daytime coverage with some late evenings and on-call as needed. Work will occur in an electrophysiology lab supporting studies, ablations, and cardiac implants.

Requirements

  • Tech License: RCES or Radiologic Tech license
  • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 2 years in EP monitoring or related electrophysiology procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with MDs and in-room staff

Nice To Haves

  • Epic experience is preferred but not required.
  • Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with devices such as pacemakers, ICDs, and LAAC devices is beneficial.
  • GE MacLab & CardioLab experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with mapping systems (Carto, EnSite/Precision, Rhythmia) is common in this field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide monitoring and assistance during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implant procedures.
  • Set up and operate EP monitoring systems (GE MacLab and CardioLab) and assist in pacing monitoring and measurements.
  • Assist in coordinating with the Electrophysiologist, in-room staff, and vendors to ensure all equipment and supplies are ready.
  • Help with room turnover and on-time starts; coordinate with the charge nurse and third-party vendors to ensure team availability for scheduled procedures.
  • Support with mapping and recording systems (Carto, EnSite/Precision, Rhythmia) and document procedures in Epic when used.
  • Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred but not required; familiarity with devices such as pacemakers, ICDs, and LAAC devices is beneficial.
