About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Cardiovascular Technologist, also known as a Cath Lab Technologist, in Saint Helena, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 5x8 day shift schedule. The role is in a short-term acute care hospital setting.

Requirements

Active ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) certification is required.
Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice (CA) is required.
Current fluoroscopy license is required within 6 months of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor per policy.
EPIC experience is required.
Minimum two years of recent experience in the field; catheterization experience is preferred (one year acceptable).
Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.

Responsibilities

Aid physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular, pulmonary, and vascular disorders by performing invasive and non-invasive tests.
Operate cardiovascular imaging and physiological equipment; assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Monitor and document patient vital signs throughout procedures; ensure patient safety and radiation protection practices.
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols; uphold aseptic practice standards.
Manage and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, including C-arm systems, angiographic injectors, and associated monitoring devices; perform basic preventive maintenance.
Assist during procedures and in the administration of contrast media via catheter or direct injection; support the Cardiologist and Radiologist as needed.
