About The Position

CHI Memorial Hospital is seeking locum Cardiovascular Surgery coverage. The role involves providing 24-hour call coverage across three different facilities. The position requires the surgeon to be proficient in both Thoracic and Cardiac procedures. The program performs approximately 100 heart surgeries per year. Candidates will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure sufficient experience for maintaining licensure and board certification. The surgeon is expected to harvest their own veins, though a PA may be provided depending on patient volume.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Cardiovascular Surgeon.
• Proficiency in both Thoracic and Cardiac surgeries.
• Experience in maintaining licensure and board certification.
• Ability to harvest own veins.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with a program performing approximately 100 heart surgeries per year.
• Willingness to work ongoing dates when permanent physician is unavailable.

Responsibilities
