Requirements
- Associate's Degree required.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care.
- Monitor patients undergoing cardiovascular and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and contrast agents safely.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms (EKGs) and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
- Recognize and manage medical emergencies, including contrast reactions and cardiac events.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring patient safety and quality standards.
