About The Position

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist II for the Cardiac Cath Lab. This is a Full Time, Day shift position. The Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist II performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols. This role also involves providing patient and family education, operating equipment safely, completing department documentation, maintaining all equipment to be clean and operational, maintaining adequate supply inventory, and participating in departmental performance improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Trade School Graduate required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire
  • One of the following Certifications required: ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT Radiography (R), ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience preferred
  • Invasive procedure experience
  • Cath lab experience preferred
  • Diagnostics and Structural heart experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols.
  • Provides patient and family education.
  • Operates equipment safely.
  • Completes department documentation.
  • Maintains all equipment to be clean and operational.
