About The Position

Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring an Interventional Technologist for the Cardiac Cath and EP labs in Charlottesville, VA. This is a full time, day shift with required call. The department includes 20 members focused on Cardiac Cath and EP patient populations, and the Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist can expect to see 10 patients per day. The schedule is Monday to Friday days with no weekends, but rotating call after 4PM is required. The Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist II performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols. The role also involves providing patient and family education, operating equipment safely, completing department documentation, maintaining all equipment to be clean and operational, maintaining an adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations, and participating in departmental performance improvement activities. Requirements

  • Trade School Graduate
  • BLS required
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire
  • One of the following Certifications required: ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT Radiography (R) ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
