About The Position
The Cardiovascular Intensivist Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) is a certified, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who works independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and/or medically complex patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Requirements
- Be a board-certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
- Have a National Provider Identifier (NPI), or secure one before commencing employment, and comply with current Medicare billing requirements.
- Maintain current DEA registration for schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5, along with appropriate state-issued prescribing authority.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in a cardiovascular critical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or equivalent CVICU experience as a registered nurse.
