About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery in Billings, MT. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, with clinical duties and beeper call coverage. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing, with a 1:4 call ratio and a 20-minute response time. The position is to supplement existing coverage. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency. The average daily patient volume is 10, with 1 admission and 3 phone consults. Rounding will be on assigned patients. The facility uses the Cerner EMR system and provides 1 RN for support staff.

Requirements

• BC/BE
• Licensed in MT or IMLC

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for the Vascular clinic.
• Provide floor call for Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic patients.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage patient admissions and rounding as required.
• Handle phone consults for the department.
