Cardiovascular APP (NP / PA)
About The Position
Bay Area Cardiology Associates, a partner practice of Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA), is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their growing cardiovascular team serving the Greater Tampa Bay area. This role is ideal for both experienced APPs and motivated providers looking to transition into cardiology. APPs in this position work closely with Cardiologists and fellow Advanced Practice Providers in both clinic and hospital settings, fostering a collaborative environment with strong mentorship, hands-on experience, and a diverse range of responsibilities. The role offers the flexibility to focus on inpatient care, outpatient continuity, or a combination of both, allowing for the development of a strong long-term foundation in cardiovascular medicine within a supportive, team-oriented group.
Requirements
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Active Florida license or ability to obtain
- Strong work ethic with patient-centered approach to care
- Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
Nice To Haves
- Cardiology experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants encouraged to apply
- Providers interested in transitioning into cardiology are welcome
Responsibilities
- Manage office-based cardiology patients and follow-up care
- Participate in hospital consults and rounding alongside Cardiologists and APP team
- Order and interpret cardiovascular diagnostic testing and procedures
- Manage medications, treatment plans, and specialty referrals
- Assist with stress test supervision, histories, documentation, and patient education
