Requirements

• Must be Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• BLS Certification required.
• Experience with Impella support (Insertion/Removal/Bailout) is necessary.
• Familiarity with structural heart support in Hybrid OR/Cath Lab settings is essential.
• Clean background check required.

Nice To Haves

• Kentucky Medical License preferred; candidates willing to obtain a license will be considered.
• Availability for one of the specified date ranges is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult cardiac surgeries, including but not limited to: CABG (Arterial Revascularization Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery; Redo cases) Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery
• Conduct general thoracic surgeries such as: Tube Thoracostomy Tracheostomy Bronchoscopy VATS decortication/lung biopsy Pericardial Window
• Manage ICU care for high-risk patients, including: Impella Insertion/Removal/Bailout Medical management of critically ill patients
• Support structural heart procedures in Hybrid OR/Cath Lab settings.
