About The Position

This is a hospital-based locum physician position for Cardiothoracic Surgery, requiring 24-hour call shifts for 10-14 days per month. The role involves approximately 1 case per day in a Level 2 Trauma facility with 20 operating rooms. The physician will utilize the EPIC EMR system and be supported by a team of 3 Physician Assistants, serving an adult patient population. The position requires availability from September 11, 7 AM to September 16, 7 AM. Credentialing is estimated at 30 days, with emergency privileging considered.

Requirements

• Board Certification is mandatory.
• Must hold an active Ohio Medical License.
• Fellowship Training is mandatory.
• BLS/ACLS Certification is mandatory.
• Must be available for the specified dates (September 11, 7 AM – September 16, 7 AM).
• Must be capable of performing all required surgical procedures listed.
• Must hold an active license in Ohio.
• Must have ACLS certification.
• Must have BLS certification.
• Must be Board Certified.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform 24-hour call shifts.
• Cover call for 10-14 days per month.
• Perform approximately 1 surgical case per day.
• Conduct Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG).
• Perform arterial revascularization utilizing internal mammary arteries, radial artery, and gastroepiploic artery.
• Conduct redo coronary revascularization (with or without concomitant heart valve surgery).
• Perform pericardial window creation.
• Perform heart valve repair/replacement procedures, including mitral valve repair.
