About The Position

Join a dedicated team at a renowned hospital located in the heart of Lima, Ohio. This facility is known for its commitment to providing exceptional patient care and has a robust infrastructure equipped with 20 operating rooms. The practice provides hospital-based rounding and is seeking locum coverage for gaps in call, ensuring continuous care for adult patients. The ideal candidate will be available for a 24-hour call shift from September 11 to September 16, allowing for a collaborative approach to cardiovascular healthcare.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Completed fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Demonstrated experience with the required procedures.
• Proven ability to manage adult patient populations.
• Active Ohio Medical License (required).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EPIC EMR system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for cardiovascular surgeries during designated call shifts.
• Manage and perform necessary cardiothoracic procedures including: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Arterial Revascularization, Redo Coronary Revascularization, Heart Valve Repair and Replacement, Pericardial Window procedures, Mitral Valve Repair.
• Collaborate with a skilled support team including 3 Physician Assistants.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) through EPIC for patient documentation.
• Participate in hospital-based rounding and patient care decisions.
