About The Position
Medical Group of the Carolinas – Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly successful, well-established practice and exceptional multidisciplinary heart team. Requirements
- Board certified or eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Experience in open heart surgery.
- Experience in thoracic surgery.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-volume environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Structural Heart Program procedures including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, PFO closure, and Convergent procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform open heart and thoracic surgeries.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary heart team.
- Manage patients in a high-volume environment.
- See 20+ patients per day in clinic.
- Participate in a 1:4 call rotation, including one weekend per month.
- Provide coverage for ED, floor, and clinic calls, with NP/PAs taking first call.
