About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Joplin, MO. The role involves providing call-only coverage for both outpatient and inpatient settings. The coverage period is from ASAP to November 28, 2026, with 24-hour call shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. This is for supplemental coverage due to the need for additional support. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. The facility uses the Epic EMR system. Hospital privileges are required, and temporary privileges are not available.
Requirements
- Board Certified required
- Licensed in MO
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- ATLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide call coverage for Cardiothoracic surgical emergencies (7A to 7A shifts).
- Perform open and endoscopic Cardiothoracic procedures as needed.
- Manage postoperative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
- Conduct consultations for Cardiothoracic cases and coordinate care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with the care team.
