About The Position

Dignity Health Medical Group – Stockton, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to join their team in Stockton, California. This role offers the opportunity to join a highly active practice with a loyal patient base and support a premier cardiac program that has been a community benchmark for over five decades. The position is primarily Cardiothoracic focused, with a high volume of cardiac cases, but also offers the opportunity to perform a broad range of cases. The surgeon will join an established team of surgeons and a dedicated cardiac APP team. The call schedule is designed to be sustainable, with emergent cardiac cases typically scheduled for the following day. The practice utilizes advanced technology including a da Vinci Xi robot, a new LINAC for oncology collaboration, and E-BUS capabilities. The role serves as a regional referral center with a draw area spanning 6-8 counties.

Requirements

  • Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA).
  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license.
  • DEA Certification.
  • A strong desire to work within a collaborative model where surgeons support one another to ensure both patient safety and team work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of Cardiothoracic cases, primarily Cardiac.
  • Support the continuity of care for a premier cardiac program.
  • Collaborate with a busy medical oncology group and an engaged intensivist team.
  • Provide regional referral services for a 6-8 county area.
