About The Position

Nascence Group is seeking a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for a part-time role in San Francisco, CA. This position involves assisting in cardiothoracic surgical operations, performing bedside procedures, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care. The work schedule is 2 days per week, 6 hours per day.

• California PA Board License/Eligibility
• NCCPA Certification
• BLS and ACLS Certifications
• Detailed Cardiothoracic Surgery Experience

Responsibilities

• Performed endoscopic radial and saphenous vein harvesting procedures in support of cardiothoracic surgical operations while ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety protocols.
• Assisted as first and second assist during cardiothoracic and robotic surgical procedures, providing intraoperative support including tissue handling, suturing, exposure, and robotic bedside assistance.
• Conducted bedside procedures including central line placement, chest tube and pigtail insertion/removal, Swan-Ganz catheter management, and pacing wire removal for critically ill cardiac patients.
• Assisted in patient stabilization and post-operative cardiac care by performing cardioversion procedures and monitoring patient responses in ICU and surgical recovery settings.
• Collaborated closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality perioperative and postoperative patient care.
