About The Position

St. Michael Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for Cardiothoracic coverage. This is a 6-9 month assignment requiring the provider to be available Monday through Friday, with on-call duties including 1-2 weekdays and weekends. Night call runs from 5 PM to 7 AM. The position requires significant Operating Room (OR) experience, as well as the ability to manage patients in acute care and ICU settings. The APP will be expected to assist in the OR, round on patients, and provide clinic support to ensure full utilization of the resource. The EMR system used is EPIC. The patient census typically includes 5-10 hospital patients per day, with 0-3 in the ICU, and 2-7 surgeries. The practice is supported by RN Navigators, 2 Physicians, and 4 other Midlevels. This coverage is needed due to the retirement of the current APP.

Requirements

• Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.
• Experience in the OR.
• Experience managing patients in the acute care and ICU setting.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
