About The Position

As a vital member of our cardiology team, this position plays a hands-on role in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate patient care. You’ll perform graded exercise tests, nuclear stress tests, EKGs, and Holter monitor applications while supporting patients through every step of their diagnostic experience. Requirements

  • High School Degree
  • May need to start IV’s
  • Up to 1 year experience in a related field
  • Displays Service Excellence and has strong interpersonal skills.
  • Cognizant of cardiac abnormalities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform graded exercise tests and nuclear stress tests under the supervision of the staff R.N.
  • Assist patients in preparing for tests, including applying electrodes and taking vital signs.
  • Monitor patients during exercise and notify the R.N. of any abnormalities in heart rhythm.
  • Apply Holter monitors and assist with daily paperwork for the testing department.
  • Perform EKGs.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency.
  • Explain procedures.
  • Prepare rooms and clean up.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence values to all customers.
  • Be kind, helpful, and courteous to patients.
  • Display teamwork efforts with other staff.
  • Demonstrate flexibility.
  • Help ensure proper testing and minimize delays.
  • Make the bed and stock supplies.
  • Perform proper protocol.
  • Charge and file as needed.
  • May assist in other cardiology duties.
  • Recognize emergency situations and act appropriately.
  • Stay current with cardiology trends.
