About The Position

The Cardiologist provides general cardiology care in clinic and hospital settings for adult patients. The assignment includes clinical and call coverage from January 18, 2027, through January 25, 2027, with an expected volume of 17–18 patients per day and weekend rounding. The case mix includes general and interventional cardiology. The department has 150 beds, uses the EPIC electronic health record system, and has interventional cardiology specialty backup available. Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges are available with a clean credentialing file. The coverage is supplemental.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania license and a Universal License through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiology.
• DEA registration required.
• At least 1 year of experience in General Cardiology.
• Hospital privileges required.
• Ability to perform nuclear reads, stress tests, TEEs, cardioversions, and echo monitors.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CT reads.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general cardiology care, including outpatient clinic visits and inpatient consultations.
• Perform and interpret nuclear reads, stress tests, echocardiogram monitors, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), and cardioversions.
• Participate in on-call cardiology coverage, including weekend rounding.
• Collaborate with a dedicated advanced practice provider (APP) and interventional cardiology support staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the EPIC electronic health record system.
