About The Position

Carondelet Medical Group is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist Physician to join their physician-led organization in Southern Arizona. This role offers the opportunity to work within an advanced interventional cardiology program, focusing on complex coronary intervention, cardiogenic shock management, and structural heart care. The position involves practicing at the forefront of the specialty with a collaborative, high-performing team, backed by an integrated hospital network and dedicated support staff. It aims to provide a well-supported outpatient practice without significant administrative burden.

Requirements

MD or DO degree
Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain one

Nice To Haves

Experience with high-risk PCI and complex coronary interventions.
Experience with mechanical circulatory support (Impella, Tandem Heart, ECMO).
Experience with atherectomy techniques (laser, rotational, orbital, intravascular lithotripsy).
Experience in a dedicated cardiogenic shock program.
Experience in structural cardiology.
Mentorship experience.
Experience in clinical research trials.

Responsibilities

Perform complex coronary interventions.
Manage cardiogenic shock.
Provide structural heart care.
Conduct 300–400 procedures annually in a high-volume Cath Lab, specializing in high-risk PCI and complex coronary interventions.
Utilize full atherectomy suite capabilities (laser, rotational, orbital, and intravascular lithotripsy).
Manage mechanical circulatory support including Impella, Tandem Heart, and ECMO.
Serve as the primary regional referral hub for a dedicated cardiogenic shock program.
Participate in an on-site structural cardiology program.
Mentor interventional cardiology fellows.
Potentially participate in ongoing clinical research trials.
Focus on patient care with comprehensive administrative and operational support.
