About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and step-down level care. This role involves advanced patient assessment, ECG interpretation, emergency response, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, advanced cardiac assessment abilities, and the ability to remain calm and decisive in fast-paced clinical situations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program: Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care Registered Nurse experience required
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or Compact Multistate RN License required
• BLS Certification required upon hire
• ACLS Certification required within 1 year of hire

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care according to hospital policies and standards
• Perform continuous patient assessment and cardiac monitoring
• Interpret ECGs and cardiac rhythms accurately
• Respond promptly to arrhythmias and emergency situations
• Provide care for: Young adults (18–39), Adults (40–64), Geriatric patients (65+)
• Stabilize pediatric patients under 16 years old until transfer if required
• Develop and maintain expertise in: Cardiac monitoring, Step-down patient care, Drip management, Psychosocial and spiritual patient support, Pathophysiology and therapeutic interventions
• Identify and address clinical risks and unsafe practices
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
