About The Position
The Cardiovascular Surveillance Technician assists professional caregivers in patient care by monitoring cardiac rhythms and, when necessary, pulse oximetry. The technician ensures the hospital’s philosophy, standards, policies, and procedures are met and maintained in a professional manner. This is a part-time 0.6 position at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on the night shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms.
- Successful completion of an EKG class within two weeks of hire.
- BLS certification upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Prior hospital experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms to assist professional caregivers in patient care.
- Monitor pulse oximetry when necessary.
- Ensure the hospital’s philosophy, standards, policies, and procedures are met and maintained professionally.
