About The Position

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Cardiac Sonographer performs cardiac echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients and maintains performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Requirements

• Hold an appropriate echocardiography credential: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS; Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from CCI; Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS) from Sonography Canada; or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from CCI.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

• Membership in one or more professional societies related to sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients.
• Maintain performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.
