About The Position

The Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer performs cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations on adult and geriatric patients. The role includes performing 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests, as well as vascular exams. The sonographer is responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Requirements

• Hold an appropriate echocardiography credential: RDCS from ARDMS; RCS or RCCS from CCI; CRCS from Sonography Canada; or ACS from CCI.
• Hold an additional vascular credential: RVT from ARDMS, RVS through CCI, or RS through ARRT.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

• Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.

Responsibilities
