About The Position

The Cardiac Sonographer operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment and scans patients across cardiac imaging procedures, including M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). The role uses Philips equipment, Lumason as an imaging agent, and performs bubble studies. Travelers must be able to perform TEE, transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), and stress echocardiography, and should be experienced enough to work independently from the start. The position operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures and reports to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience is specified for the traveler role.
• Associate degree in radiology or equivalent certification.
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or CCI credential.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Epic experience is a plus.
• Ability to start IVs is a plus.
• One to three years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician is listed as preferred.
