Cardiac Anesthesiologist
About The Position
East Jefferson General Hospital, part of LCMC Health, is seeking fellowship-trained Cardiac Anesthesiologists to join its expanding cardiovascular anesthesia team. The growing cardiothoracic surgery program includes a broad range of complex procedures, from routine CABG and valve surgeries to heart and lung transplantation. Physicians will work in a collaborative, high-acuity program with flexible practice models and scheduling options. Practice models may involve residents, CRNAs, or MD-only care. Full-time W-2 opportunities and 1099 coverage opportunities are considered. An immediate start is available. Call arrangements, including first call and post-call days off, are negotiable. There is no second call, department leadership role, or partnership track. East Jefferson General Hospital serves the Greater New Orleans region and offers cardiovascular, transplant, and surgical services.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or MBBS.
- Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure.
- Current ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide cardiac anesthesia care for cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, mechanical circulatory support, and thoracic transplant procedures.
- Participate in a cardiovascular anesthesia practice that may involve residents, CRNAs, or MD-only care models.
