About The Position

We are seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Omaha, NE. This is an inpatient role covering supplemental needs for an ongoing period, starting ASAP. The position involves clinical duties with beeper call for nights and weekends. The schedule is Monday-Friday, with 8-10 hour shifts. The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics, with an annual volume of 360-450 cardiac cases per year. The case mix includes Open Hearts, Thoracic, Vascular, and Structural Heart Cases, with the possibility of covering General Cases if needed. The facility has 187 beds and 15 ORs, including 3 Endoscopy suites and 2 EP Labs. The trauma level is I. The EMR system used is Epic. There may be occasional supervision of CRNAs required.

Requirements

• Active NE License or IMLC
• Board Certified (BC)
• TEE Certified
• COVID Vaccinated
• Completed Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical coverage for Cardiac Anesthesiology.
• Participate in beeper call for nights and weekends.
• Manage adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
• Perform Open Hearts, Thoracic, Vascular, and Structural Heart Cases.
• Potentially cover General Cases as needed.
• Supervise CRNAs occasionally.
