About The Position

The Car Wash Assistant Manager Level 1 is responsible for functioning as the manager in charge when the Site Manager is unavailable. This role involves overseeing operations, including ordering and stocking vending supplies, training new hires on various procedures, and ensuring the team is proficient in sales techniques and car wash operations. The Assistant Manager also plays a key role in scheduling, maintaining the car wash vacuum system, and supporting the Site Manager in team meetings and supervisor courses.

Requirements

High school diploma plus 6 months to 1 year retail and management work experience preferred.
Leadership and communication skills including active listening.
Experience with team building.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Ability to anticipate customer needs.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong work ethics and professional attitude.
Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role.
Candidates with supervisory experience from a Big Box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.
Must be able to work in damp and humid conditions.
Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50lbs.
Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
Must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols which means this person will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.
The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Function as the manager in charge when Site Manager is unavailable.
Responsible for ordering and stocking of vending.
Effectively provide training to new hires.
Able to train on Opening/Closing checklists and proper loading techniques to teammates.
Responsible for training Fast Pass sales techniques to the team.
Professionally responds to voicemails and emails in a timely manner.
Able to create an effective schedule.
Complete knowledge of Car Wash vacuum system operation.
Able to clean the vacuum system (pressure washing the system).
Support the Site Manager during monthly team meetings.
Assist with on-site Supervisor Courses.
Supervise teammates completing PM and assess if further training is needed.
Complete the GSR Daily Breakdown.
