About The Position

The Car Wash Assistant Manager Level 1 functions as the manager in charge when the Site Manager is unavailable. This role is responsible for ordering and stocking vending, providing training to new hires, and ensuring team members are proficient in opening/closing procedures, loading techniques, and Fast Pass sales. The Assistant Manager also handles professional communication via voicemails and emails, creates effective schedules, and possesses complete knowledge of the Car Wash vacuum system operation, including cleaning it. They support the Site Manager in monthly team meetings, assist with on-site Supervisor Courses, and supervise teammates completing PM tasks, assessing training needs.

Requirements

High school diploma plus 6 months to 1 year retail and management work experience preferred.
Leadership and communication skills including active listening.
Experience with team building.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Ability to anticipate customer needs.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong work ethics and professional attitude.
Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role.
Candidates with supervisory experience from a Big Box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.
Must be capable of performing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in damp and humid conditions.
Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
Must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols.
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.

Responsibilities

Responsible for training Fast Pass sales techniques to the team.
Professionally responds to voicemails and emails in a timely manner.
Able to create an effective schedule.
Complete knowledge of Car Wash vacuum system operation.
Able to clean the vacuum system (pressure washing the system).
Support the Site Manager during monthly team meetings.
Assist with on-site Supervisor Courses.
Supervise teammates completing PM and assess if further training is needed.
Complete the GSR Daily Breakdown.
