Responsible for the daily functions of the Room Service Department. This role involves taking food and beverage orders over the phone, processing them through the hotel’s POS system, closing checks, and completing reports. The Captain/Sales Associate will accept cash payments, oversee deliveries, ensure prompt service according to hotel standards, and check food and beverage orders. Additionally, they will take dining reservations, be knowledgeable about menus, entertainment, and operating hours, and make suggestions to increase hotel sales and upsell products. This position also requires notifying supervisors of any concerns and directing waitstaff to ensure orders are set up correctly. The role also includes keeping the work area clean, stocking supplies, assisting waitstaff, and recommending resort facilities to guests.
