About The Position
Major Food Group is partnering with Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood to launch a new dining concept! Major Food Group is partnering with Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood to bring a new dining experience to one of South Florida’s most dynamic destinations. Major Food Group was founded in 2011, when chefs Rich Torrisi and Mario Carbone joined forces with fellow New Yorker and like-minded entrepreneur Jeff Zalaznick. Their partnership took what began as an intimate, acclaimed destination in downtown Manhattan—Torrisi Italian Specialties—and turned it into a multifaceted global hospitality brand with a modern, celebratory approach to luxury lifestyle experiences. From classic steakhouses, to varying styles of Italian cuisine, to French bistros, Japanese brasseries, MFG operates a wide breadth of concepts and seeks to transcend traditional hospitality models by offering multi-dimensional, immersive experiences that are deeply rooted in, and inspired by relevant history and culture.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of previous food service experience in a high-pace environment.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor while managing multiple tasks.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Fine Dining restaurant preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the management team, the incumbent is responsible for providing elevated food and beverage and support service to guests ensuring a positive guest experience in the outlet.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina.
- Proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, physical ability to access all areas of the facility, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighting up to 40 lbs without restriction.
- Must be congenial and have neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
- Must be reliable and conscientious, possess the ability to interact (in English) with guests, co-workers and supervisory staff.
- Must be accurate and detail oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to act quickly and exercise good judgment under pressure and/or conflict situations is a must.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as needed.
